In My Dreams I Walk With You is a compelling and inspirational story of one man's ability to overcome a life-changing accident. At age 24, Dennis Walters was dreaming of playing one day on the PGA Tour. After all, he had played well enough in Open events and toured South Africa playing against the likes of Gary Player. Then one day a tragic golf cart accident ended that dream and left him paralyzed from the waist down, never again to walk on his own two legs. While many golfers would have given up their dream of pursuing golf as a career faced with such a challenge, Walters has embraced it. Twenty-seven courageous years later, he still hasn't given up. His story is about his rehabilitation, how he found golf again and rebuilt his life. He has used the game of golf to promote his message that nothing is truly impossible. He is now regarded as one of golf's greatest showmen, traveling across the country and overseas to demonstrate his remarkable shot-making skills at PGA Tour events, corporate and charity outings, and junior golf clinics. I am very excited to be part of the growth of the game of golf and am proud to have support from the USGA Foundation this year, said Walters. The USGA has shown through its actions that it cares not only about the future of the game of golf, but also about improving lives through the game. I think that my show, all about golf lessons and life lessons, fits in very nicely with these overall goals, and I look forward to spreading the message even further.
